GOOD MORNING MONDAY – AFFIRMATIVE THOUGHTS FOR A GREAT WEEK

Good Morning. It is Monday! How was your weekend? Were you able to embrace the present moment?Being fully awake to each moment of your life provides insight and gratitude for what is there for you to cherish. Marcel Proust’s quote, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes,” represents this concept.Today and this week, open your aperture and look at each situation with a fresh perspective. You will be amazed at what you discover😊!

Each of us comes into this life with a set of unique talents and special gifts. You are unique; you are a masterpiece. You were born with tremendous natural capabilities, innate passions and unique gifts. As we all grow older, many times we can lose touch with the talents and passions we possess. Reconnecting with whatyouare good at and whatyoulove doing will enrich your life. Connecting with your own unique capabilities and talents require knowing and trusting yourself. You are one the who can set out to make your dreams a reality.

Often, we struggle to realize the special talents we have, how blessed we are to possess them and how important it is to use and share them.Through cultivating your talents, using your gifts and sharing your gifts for the good of others, you will be a role model for all and make a difference in the world around you.The following story of “Three Pelicans” represents this very concept.

Three Pelicans

Three pelicans were flying to a popular lake. As they traveled, they were each lost in thought.

The first pelican thought to himself, “I love my beak. It’s magnificent. No other bird has a beak quite like mine. When I get to the lake, I’m going to parade along the bank, showing off my beautiful beak and all of the other birds will be jealous.”

The second pelican thought to himself, “I love my beak and I need to protect it.I can’t afford for it to get damaged, so I’m going to only catch small fish in shallow waters.I know that I can do more, but it’s too risky.”

The third pelican thought to himself, “I love my beak. It’s a beauty and I’m going to push the limits and get the most out of it.I’m going to become the best catcher of fish in the lake.I’ve been given this beak for a reason, so I’m going to work hard and catch the biggest fish out there.”

Each of you has been given unique talents, experiences and attributes for a reason; not to show off that you have them; not to do the bare minimum with them; but to fully develop them and use them to their maximum capacity.

You are each here to make a positive difference to the world around you and are fully equipped for the task. When you engage in pursuits that you are passionate about and that employ your unique capabilities, you will find that you are tapping into a source of energy that propels you forward and lifts you and others around you up!

You have a special path, purpose and a quest that you are seeking. You have innate strengths and abilities that are your own. As you journey through your life, you may find yourself drawn to certain activities and things you feel “called to do”.Therein lies the key to identifying your gifts.

Your uniqueness is what adds color, texture, flavor and emotion to your life and the life of those around you.You carry within certain qualities and attributes that contribute to society. Know thatYOU MATTER AND YOUR LIFE MATTERS. Everything you do has an impact.

Tap into the energy of your greatnessand use it to make a positive impact on the world around you.Whoever you are; whatever you do; the world needs YOU!
