when I started in SAP consulting 12 years ago, I was struck by the rigidity in the community. While I met a few seasoned folks who were open, most were:- conventional and hierarchical in their approach and thinking.- had a sense of entitlement based on their years of experience.- prioritised the comfort zone and resisted change, when it comes to learning and taking up new projects. My attempt has always been to dismantle those status quo and it is still a work in progress. Whenever I interact with younger consultants, my suggestion has always been to choose challenges consciously. Move out from assignments that limit your growth, move to different cities or countries if the opportunity is worth the effort and remain respectful to each and everyone irrespective of their age or seniority. #sap #sapcareer #sapconsulting #consulting #saplearning #career #careergrowth #sapcommunity #sapcobsultant

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to speak at the SAP conference this week. A sincere thank you to SAP for the gracious invitation and for fostering an environment of enthusiasm and professionalism. It was truly inspiring to be part of a conference that values thought-provoking discussions on the power of mindset.I want to extend my appreciation to Titan Wellness and Vhi for making this collaboration possible. Your dedication to well-being and progress played a crucial role, and I feel privileged to contribute to the impactful conversations. The warm welcome and positive feedback from everyone in attendance were genuinely heartening. I am humbled by the experience. In the spirit of our discussions, here are a few tips to cultivate a positive mindset:Gratitude Practice: Take a moment daily to reflect on things you're grateful for. It could be as simple as appreciating a beautiful moment or acknowledging the support of those around you.Mindful Breathing: Amidst life's challenges, pause for a few deep breaths. This simple practice helps center your thoughts and brings focus back to the present moment.Embrace Challenges: View challenges as opportunities for growth. Adopting a positive mindset involves seeing setbacks as stepping stones toward success.Surround Yourself with Positivity: Engage with people, activities, and content that uplift and inspire you. Positivity breeds positivity.Learn and Adapt: Cultivate a growth mindset by viewing failures as learning experiences. Embrace the idea that improvement is a continuous journey.Once again, thank you for the enriching experience. Let's continue to spread positivity and empower each other on our collective path to success! SAP #MindsetMatters #SAPConference #FutureTitanWellness #Vhi #Gratitude #PositiveMindset

SAP career, like many other professions, has its own set of challenges and rewards. Typically, what's often shown/seen doesn't reflect the reality. For instance, a picture like this (taken on a weekend) shows completely different lifestyle than it actually is. What say?#sapcommunity #sapcareer #weekendvibes

This week marks two years since I started at SAP and I couldn’t be more grateful I took a leap of faith by making the move. I had been at my previous company for 5 years, loved my coworkers, had a fantastic manager, and was exceeding quota. But- I was ready for something new. I’ve always wanted to partner with, strategize with, and challenge some of the largest organizations in the country to shape their business. On paper, I didn’t feel qualified. I lacked experience and knew there would be a huge learning curve that would be uncomfortable to overcome. Despite this, I was determined to succeed, and so I pushed myself outside my comfort zone while getting acclimated. A few things I’ve learned throughout the process…1. Ask the “dumb” questions- nobody is judging you. 2. It’s okay to not know the answer. People respect transparency and would rather you admit not knowing and coming back to them once you do. 3. Stop associating being young in your field as a negative. I spent too long feeling inferior being the youngest in a room- when in reality, people appreciate a different perspective. You’re in the room for a reason- speak up!4. Don’t be scared to reach out to someone (internally or externally) because of their title- we’re all just people. 5. Your time is valuable. Prioritize what’s important and say no to what isn’t. Thank you Kevin Moore for telling me this early on. ☺️6. Work is MUCH more fun when you’re genuinely friends with your coworkers and customers. This makes going to the office, business trips, and everything in between something to look forward to. Thank you SAP SuccessFactors for the opportunity. Looking forward to continuing to grow here for many years to come!

SAP Career Journey part 3You got your first 3 years experience, you feel ready to officialy become a consultant.3 takeaways:1. If you are stll doing AMS only, you must get project experience2. If you did not get promoted to consultant, it's time for a checkup for you and your employer3. If you are a high performer, be careful not to overload yourself with responsibilities you cannot handle yetHope you enjoy the video, share your feedback in the comments and see you tomorrow 😁#sap #career #job #consultant
