Pamela Minor Ludwick

Formerly of Douglas

Pamela Minor Ludwick, 67, passed away in Novi, Michigan, on Aug. 9, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend to those around her.

Pam was born on Dec. 27, 1956, in the Sand Mountain area and spent her childhood years in small-town Douglas, Alabama. Both her parents were educators and fueled her fire for higher education and knowledge. She attended Auburn University and received her bachelor’s in Industrial Management in 1979. She continued her studies to earn her master’s degree from Xavier University. Throughout her career, she was passionate in her job and enjoyed educating others in her field.

However, after she married the love of her life, Daniel Ludwick, on April 20, 1991, and giving birth to her daughter, Elizabeth, on Dec. 25, 1991, her passion changed to making sure she was the best wife and mother she could possibly be. She was incredibly involved in her childhood and school activities. Pam fiercely loved her family and friends and would do anything to make sure they could thrive. She was known for her Southern charm, her humor and her ability to make anyone feel special and important.

Pam is survived by her husband, Daniel; her daughter, Elizabeth; her brother, William (Suzanne) Minor; niece, Kaity Minor; stepson, Daniel Ludwick II; stepdaughter, Kathleen Diamond; and various stepnieces, stepnephews and stepgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, Walton and Pauline Minor; and her parents-in-law, George and Eva Ludwick.

Pam loved more than just Auburn football, she loved Auburn. She embodied many parts of the Auburn Creed — whether it be her belief to never stop learning or her willingness to always lift a helping hand to put a smile on someone’s face. She lit up every room she walked into, and the world will be a little less bright without her in it.

A celebration of life will be held in the Douglas area for family and friends on Aug. 25. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pat Summitt foundation.
